Dear supporters,
I’m writing to you as the children of the Tyre School are at serious risk.
Two days ago the Supreme Court of Israel decided that in just one week, the army will be allowed to destroy all of what is the life, the memories and the future of the 170 children that attend the school and of their families. The soldiers won’t be allowed to force the bedouins to move to a place in particular, but for sure they will have to abandon the village where they grew up and the places they call “home”.
This may be the first time you see my face, as I’m an artist, a common citizen like yourself. I decided to launch this petition as I believe that every child should have a safe place to grow up and to peacefully relate with their community. This is why I have decided to stand up for this cause and show my face. I hope you can join me in showing the world how outraged we are for what is happening to these innocent children.
Please, take a picture of yourself with the same message I wrote in mine, and share it on Twitter with the following message (if you don’t have Twitter or you don’t want to put your picture, but you still want to share it on your social media networks, please do!):
“If you demolish a school, you demolish the future! I take a stand for the 170 children that go to #TheTyreSchool in #Palestine. @antonioguterres @netanyahu @RamiHamdalla #SaveOurSchool http://change.org/saveourschool
