INADEQUATE REPLY FROM LABOUR PARTY!

Sue Pownall
Warrington, ENG, United Kingdom

May 9, 2018 — Well, this seems to be the bog-standard reply the volunteers at the Labour Party thinks everyone deserves, as I have seen it given to two other complaints concerning Labour Party MPs. It seems they can do whatever they like to bring Labour down and get away with it, whilst we are trudging around canvassing. You will have to make your own decisions whether you think we actually have a say in the party! VERY DISAPPOINTING!

Dear Sue,

Thank you for your email.

It is the job of the Complaints team to review all complaints to ensure that matters are dealt with appropriately.

After reviewing your complaint I have concluded that this matter does not amount to a breach of Labour Party rules. It is quite usual for MPs and senior members to enter into political discussion and analysis while appearing on TV and radio or via other public forums, this includes current issues relating to the Party. Such comments do not go any further than political discourse and we will therefore not be taking any further action.

Many thanks,

Tim
