We reached 500 signatures!!.
So a big thank you to all those who signed the petition, those who contributed money to promote the page and to everyone who shared the page with their contacts. I said I would write to the Minister Tanya Plibersek when we got to 500, so I'll be doing that this week. I'll also write to the newish NSW Minister Penny Sharpe, especially about protecting habitat and stopping logging of native forests
We are making progress with implementation of the 10 points, but not enough. As Ken Henry said recently we need to put protection of nature first (before development, mining, Housing development or new transmission lines)or our environment will continue to degrade at its current alarming rate. There is not sufficient political will, not enough community urgency and not enough funds to protect nature, let alone start to restore what's been lost.
So our campaign continues. Thanks again we coming with me on this crusade.
