Air Canada has the chance to open doors for thousands of travelers. Right now, Ghanaian Canadians and many others face exhausting 24+ hour journeys with multiple layovers when it should only take 10–12 hours direct.

Meanwhile, Delta and United Airlines already fly directly from the U.S. to Ghana. Major international airline such as KLM, Brussels Airlines, Air France, British Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, Royal Air Maroc, and others carry Canadian travelers every day, but only with inconvenient stopovers.

It’s time for Air Canada to step up and serve this enormous and growing market.

Our Request

We are calling on Air Canada to launch at least three direct flights weekly between Toronto and Accra. These flights would be filled immediately. Our community and many other travelers are ready and waiting.

As a proud Ghanaian Canadian, I and thousands like me would fly to Ghana more often if not for the long, inconvenient layovers. This route is not just a want; it is a need.
