Yes, Free! is getting an anime film! However, the film itself will take place in the past, (High Speed! Novel series). In the meantime, I will keep this petition open. There were some hints according to the Seiyuu Event that another film MAY occur!

But yes, congratulations Free!, you're getting the movie! :D

Free! Starting Days - The Movie, December 5, 2015

NOTE: This petition is for an ANIME FILM (ANIMATED FILM).

Free! Iwatobi Swim Club is a 12-Anime Episode created by Kyoto Animation and Animation DO. The series was aired from July 3 (4), 2013 - September 25 (26), 2013 and was renewed for a sequel in Summer 2014.

Free! Eternal Summer aired from July 2, 2014 - September 24, 2014 with 13 Episodes total plus an OVA on March 18, 2015.

High Speed Vol. 1 (2013) & High Speed Vol. 2 (2014) are the dual novel series written by Kouji Ouji that talk about the "Elementary" and "Middle/Junior High" school years of the main cast!

The fans all around the globe (especially tumblr.) were in L-O-V-E with the story and its characters ever since the "30-second anime" preview was released back in Early Spring 2013.

With 2 Wonderful Seasons that the series has produced, a movie sequel will further boost the franchise since many successful movies have made huge profits. Overall, there has been a great, positive, incredible sight of reactions by many fans who enjoyed this series. Together, a film will make things even more exciting for both Japan and the rest of the world as this would be very nice addition to the storyline and franchise!
