Mil Mill喵坊是全港首間兼唯一一間的紙包飲品盒回收漿廠及教育中心，並把回收後的紙品轉製成各種面紙和廁紙等，以廉價在全港各處出售，實為難得一見的創意環保事業，不過近日不獲科技園續約，即將面臨停運危機，惹起爭議。科技園及港府相關部門一意孤行的話，估計每年最少20億紙包飲品盒將會白白送往堆填區。

即使特首李家超指環保署已提出「挽留措施」，包括提供「三幅用地公開招標」，卻被揭發三幅地皆不適合用作回收廠址。與此同時，新加坡隨即向Mil Mill喵坊招手，邀請到當地設廠，Mil Mill喵坊即使面臨在港投資千萬心血毀於一旦，依然心繫香港，希望繼續為這個家付出。無論在情在理，創辦人和Mil Mill喵坊，皆是科技園值得挽留的人才和工業。

香港科技園公司行政總裁黃克強，站在社會道德或商業承諾上，皆有責任剎停是次災難。希望各界朋友能為此聯署並共同向黃克強先生發出呼聲，要求為Mil Mill喵坊留一線生機，更為了拯救香港未來的環保事業或創意工業，亦為下一代的生活環境着想。

過去數年間，估計已約有100萬市民在逾600個回收點回收紙包飲品盒，並逐步形成港人的生活習慣，每年最少回收20億紙包飲品盒，一旦Mil Mill喵坊停運，這些歷年養成的改變將會毀於一旦。

科技園一直提出「進一步創新製造」的使命，以「香港創新、設計和製造」的理念開闢新道路，若把Mil Mill喵坊趕盡殺絕，豈不是違背公司使命，亦把100萬市民的心血摧毀？科技園把罕見的人才和創意環保事業拱手相讓亦實屬不智。

我們相信科技園有責任揹起責任和承諾，同時不應背棄自己的初衷。為了香港的環境和令下一代看到未來，我們懇求科技園改變主意，給予Mil Mill喵坊再經營三年的寬限期，直至Mil Mill喵坊另覓地點。

If Mil Mill beverage carton recycle centre stops operations in Hong Kong, an estimated 2 billion beverage cartons would be sent to local landfills annually. Mil Mill’s landlord, HKSTP, seems adamant to let this happen.

Dear Mr Albert Wong Hak-Keung,

Over the the years, almost 1 million Hong Kong residents have developed the habit of recycling beverage cartons with over 600 drinks carton collection points. With the upcoming lease expiry for paper pulp mill Mil Mill, all this effort will be lost.

Your website states, HKSTP’s INNOPARK aims to promote “sustainability in terms of business, environment or resources”. Yet, as the landlord of Mil Mill, are you really going to allow the efforts of almost 1 million people to go to waste? Can you really call yourself a promoter of sustainability?

We believe you can do much better than this.

For our children, our planet, our future, we ask that you reverse the decision to not renew Mil Mill’s lease and allow them to maintain using their current site for another 3 years until they can relocate to another location.
