「報復的賞与減額」訴訟の第1回口頭弁論が4月16日に開かれました。出廷したのは、原告6名およびその原告側弁護士4名、会社側の代理人弁護士3名でした。グーグル合同会社からは当事者の出席はありませんでした。傍聴は約20名集まりました。口頭弁論の冒頭では訴状の要旨が陳述され、その後、原告の一人が意見陳述を行いました。裁判官から「非公開審理（弁準）」への移行の可否について意見を求められ、組合側弁護士はこれを強く拒否し、世間の監視の下、不当判決を予防できる「公開法廷」での審理継続を強く求めました。被告側は5月末までに反論書面等の反証を提出する予定で、次回の弁論期日は6月11日午前11時に東京地裁606号法廷で予定されています。

"Retaliatory Bonus Reduction Lawsuit: First Hearing Highlights Demand for Transparency"

The first oral hearing in the "retaliatory bonus reduction" lawsuit was held on April 16. Present were six plaintiffs and four of their attorneys, along with three lawyers representing the company. No representatives from Google LLC attended. About 20 spectators were present in the courtroom gallery.

At the beginning of the hearing, a summary of the complaint was presented, followed by a statement from one of the plaintiffs. The judge asked for opinions on whether the case should proceed in a closed (non-public) session. The union’s lawyer strongly opposed this, insisting that continuing the trial in an open court would help prevent unjust rulings under public scrutiny.

The defendant is expected to submit rebuttal documents and evidence by the end of May. The next hearing is scheduled for June 11 at 11:00 AM in Tokyo District Court room 606.
