(English Below) วันที่ 1 มกราคม 2563 วันแรกที่ห้างสรรพสินค้า ซูปเปอร์มาร์เก็ตและร้านสะดวกซื้อทั่วประเทศบอกลาถุงพลาสติกก็เกิดขึ้นจริง จากคำชี้แจง/คาดการณ์ของ รมว.ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม การเลิกใช้เพียงแค่ถุงพลาสติกสามารถลด/ประหยัด

-ปริมาณขยะที่ต้องกำจัด 225,000ตัน/ปี -งบจัดการขยะมูลฝอย 340ล้านบาท/ปี

-พื้นที่รองรับและกำจัดขยะมูลฝอยแบบฝังกลบ 616 ไร่

และที่สำคัญที่สุดคือได้ช่วยชีวิตสัตว์และลดผลกระทบต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมซึ่งยากที่จะนับออกมาเป็นตัวเลข ต้องขอขอบคุณทุกท่านที่ร่วมเป็นส่วนหนึ่งที่ทำให้เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงขึ้น โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งกระทรวงทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม และท่านวราวุธ ศิลปอาชาที่ผลักดันอย่างจริงจัง

January 1st, 2020 is the first day that malls, supermarkets, and convenience stores across Thailand stop giving away free plastic bags. This is a huge change! According to a prediction from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, this change will reduce/save:

- 225,000 tons/year of plastic waste - 340 million Baht/year of taxpayer money

- 985,600 square meters of landfill needed for waste management And most importantly, it will save many lives of innocent animals and help our environment.
