ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ මනෝවිද්‍යා උපදේශනය නිසි ආකාරයෙන් නියාමනය වී නොමැත. මේ නිසා විවිධ පුද්ගලයන් මනෝ උපදේශකයන් ලෙස පෙනී සිටිමින් මනොවිද්‍යා සේවා සැපයීම සිදුවේ! මෙය ප්‍රජා සෞඛ්‍යයට දරුණු බලපෑමක් ඇති කරන අතර, යල් පැන ගිය ප්‍රතිකර්ම සහ තමන්ගේ සිතගි අනුව විවිධ පුද්ගලයන් මනෝ උපදේශනය සිදු කිරීම නිසා ශ්‍රි ලංකාවේ මනෝ සෞඛ්‍ය ඉතාම පහත් මට්ටමකට පත් වී ඇත. මෙම ජාතික මට්ටමේ ප්‍රජා යෝජනා ලබා ගැනීමෙන් අප බලාපොරොත්තු වන්නේ;

Unregulated Psychological Counseling in Sri Lanka Is Harming Our Communities In Sri Lanka, psychological counseling remains dangerously unregulated. This has allowed unqualified individuals to pose as counselors and offer services that often do more harm than good. The result? A mental health crisis, worsened by outdated practices and unscientific, discriminatory treatments.To protect the mental wellbeing of our people, especially vulnerable communities, we propose the following urgent reforms:

1.  මනෝ උපදේශකයන් ලෙස පත් කිරීම රජයේ සහ සෞඛ්‍ය අමාත්‍යාංශයේ නිරීක්ෂණය යටතේ පවතින ස්වාධීන කමිටුවක් මගින් අවසර ලබාදෙන පුද්ගලයන් හැර වෙන කිසිදු පුද්ගලයෙකුට මනෝ උපදේශකවරයකු ලෙස ක්‍රියාත්මක නොවීමට නීති සහ චක්‍රලේඛණ සැකසීම ( Legal Regulation of Psychological Services
   Only licensed professionals — approved by an independent committee under the supervision of the Ministry of Health — should be allowed to practice as psychologists or psychological counselors.
   Strict laws and regulations must be introduced to criminalize impersonation or unauthorized practice in psychological counseling.)
2. මනෝ උපදේශකයන් සඳහා සුදුසුකම් ලබාදෙන අධ්‍යාපනික ආයතනය නිසි නියාමනයකට හා ප්‍රමිතිකරණයකට ලක් කිරීම - එම අධ්‍යාපනික සහ උසස් අධ්‍යාපනික ආයතන, විශ්ව විද්‍යාල සහ පෞද්ගලික විශ්ව විද්‍යාලවල රජයේ සහ සෞඛ්‍ය අමාත්‍යාංශයේ නිරීක්‍ෂණ යටතේ පවතින ස්වාධීන කමිටුවක් මගින් නිරීක්ෂණය කිරීම සහ විෂය නිර්දේශයන් යාවත්කාලීන කිරීම සහ දේශකයන්ගේ සුදුසුකම් පිළිබඳව ප්‍රමිතියක් සැකසීම  (Oversight of Educational Institutions
   All institutions offering qualifications in psychology must be regulated and standardized by a government-supervised independent committee.
   Syllabi must be scientifically updated, and minimum qualifications set for educators and trainers.
   Both public and private institutions should be audited regularly to ensure ethical and evidence-based training.)
3. ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ පවතින පරිවර්තන චිකිත්සා තහනම් කිරීම - සමරිසි, ද්ව්-රිසි, අ-ලින්ගික ප්‍රජාවන්ට එරෙහි මනෝ උපදේශනය නාමයෙන් සිදු කරන ලිංගික දිශානතිය නිවැරදි කිරීමේ, පරිවර්තනය කිරීමේ මනෝ මනෝ චිකිත්සා, ආයුර්වේද චිකිත්සා, ආගමික කඳවුරු පොදු නීතියක් යටතේ තහනම් කිරීම. මෙම ලිංගික දිශානතිය පරිවර්තන, ලිංගික දිශානතිය නිවැරදි කිරීමේ ප්‍රතිකාර නැවත්විමට රජයෙ රෝහල් සහ පෞද්ගලික රෝහල් වෙත සෞඛ්‍ය අමාත්‍යාංශය යටතේ පරිපූර්ණ චක්‍රලේඛනයක් යොමු කිරීම, යම් හෙයකින් ම චක්‍රලේඛනය නොතකා සමරිසි, දිව් රිසි, අ-ලිංගික ප්‍රජාවන්ට එරෙහි පරිවර්තන චිකිත්සා හෝ ලිංගික දිශානතිය නිවැරදි කිරීමේ මනෝ උපදේශනය හෝ ආයුර්වේද ප්‍රතිකර්ම සිදුකරන පාර්ශවයන්ට/ පුද්ගලයන්ට එරෙහිව නීතිය ඉදිරියේ නඩු පැවරිම / පුද්ගලයන්ගේ සෞඛ්‍ය සේවා ලබාදීමේ බලපත්‍ර අවලංගු කිරීමට හෝ තහනම් කිරීමට නියාමන සැකසීම ( Total Ban on Conversion Therapy

   We call for a nationwide ban on all forms of so-called “conversion therapy” — including:

   Sexual orientation "correction" practices (eg, psychotherapy, Ayurvedic treatments, religious camps)
   Any attempt to “cure” homosexuality, bisexuality, asexuality, or transgender identity
   Misleading counseling claiming to change someone's sexual or gender identity
   These practices must be outlawed under a comprehensive national law, enforced through:

   A circular issued by the Ministry of Health to all government and private healthcare institutions
   Legal accountability: Parties involved in conversion therapy — regardless of credentials — must face legal action, including revocation of licenses)

4. මනෝ විද්‍යාව නාමයෙන් ජන මාධ්‍යය, සමාජ මාධ්‍ය සහ ප්‍රසිද්ධ ජන හමුවලදී කන්තාවන්ට සහ සමරිසි, ද්ව්‍ රිසි හෝ සංක්‍රාන්තික සමාජභාව පුද්ගලයන්ට එරෙහි අසත්‍ය සහ විද්‍යාත්මක නොවන තොරතුරු සහ මහජන උසිගැන්වීම් සිදුකිරීම වළක්වාලමින් පනතක් හෝ චක්‍රලේඛනයක් නිකුත් කිරීම.    Immediate action is needed to prohibit the spread of false, unscientific, or hate-filled claims against women, LGBTQ+ individuals, and marginalized groups in the name of psychology — including in media, social media, and public forums

  Psychological and health services for transgender individuals must be based on respect, evidence, and dignity — not forced “correction” or religious bias.
  Conversion therapy targeting transgender people must be strictly prohibited in all forms, especially under the guise of treatment.)
