नेपालभरि भइरहेका खुल्ला पशुबलि र सार्वजनिक वध धेरै नागरिक तथा सङ्गठनका लागि गम्भीर चिन्ताको विषय बनेका छन्। यी अभ्यासहरूले नेपालले प्रतिनिधित्व गर्ने शान्ति र करुणाका आधारभूत मूल्यमान्यताको ठूलो खण्डन गर्दछन्।

​🕊️शान्ति र जनस्वास्थ्यमा असर
​यस्ता कार्यहरूको प्रभाव केवल सांस्कृतिक अभ्यासमा मात्र सीमित नभई शान्ति र जनस्वास्थ्यलाई गहिरो रूपमा असर गर्दछ। थुप्रै अध्ययनले देखाएका छन् कि सार्वजनिक स्थलहरूमा हुने हिंसाले विशेषगरी युवा, कोमल मस्तिष्कमा आक्रामक व्यवहारलाई सामान्यीकरण गर्न सक्छ। यस्ता दृश्यहरूले हिंसाको स्वीकार्यता बढाउन सक्छ, जसले गर्दा आक्रामकता नियमित बन्ने वातावरण सिर्जना हुन्छ। यसका अतिरिक्त, खुल्ला, सार्वजनिक क्षेत्रहरूमा पशु वधको अभ्यासले जनस्वास्थ्यमा महत्त्वपूर्ण जोखिम निम्त्याउँछ। यसले सरसफाइका मापदण्डहरूलाई बेवास्ता गर्दछ, जसले गर्दा जनसङ्ख्यामा रोग फैलने सम्भावना हुन्छ।

​📉 पर्यटनमा नकारात्मक प्रभाव
​पर्यटनको दृष्टिकोणबाट हेर्दा, यी अभ्यासहरू जारी राख्नाले नेपालले आफूलाई 'शान्ति र करुणाको भूमि' को रूपमा स्थापित गर्ने प्रयासलाई गम्भीर रूपमा क्षति पुर्‍याउन सक्छ। शान्ति र आध्यात्मिक ज्ञानको खोजीमा नेपाल आउने अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय आगन्तुकहरू यस्ता दुःखद घटनाहरू देख्दा विचलित हुन सक्छन्, जसले गर्दा देशको अर्थतन्त्रका लागि अति महत्त्वपूर्ण पर्यटन उद्योगलाई अपूरणीय क्षति पुग्छ।

​🤝 वैकल्पिक र मानवीय अभ्यासको लागि प्रस्ताव
​हामी विश्वास गर्छौं कि नेपालले आफ्ना परम्पराहरूलाई कायम राख्दै विश्वव्यापी शान्ति र स्वास्थ्यका मूल्यमान्यताहरूसँग मेल खाने गरी आफ्ना अभ्यासहरूलाई विकसित गर्न सक्छ। सार्वजनिक हानि नगरी सांस्कृतिक सम्पदाको संरक्षण गर्न सम्भव छ। हामी सरकारलाई पशु अधिकारको सम्मान गर्ने, अहिंसाको सिद्धान्तहरूसँग मिल्ने र जनस्वास्थ्य मापदण्डहरू कायम राख्ने वैकल्पिक अभ्यासहरू विचार गर्न प्रस्ताव गर्दछौं।

​📢 तत्काल कारबाहीका लागि आह्वान
​हामी माननीय प्रधानमन्त्रीज्यूको कार्यालय, गृह मन्त्रालय, र संस्कृति, पर्यटन तथा नागरिक उड्डयन मन्त्रालय लाई खुल्ला पशुबलि र सार्वजनिक वध तत्काल रोक्न तत्काल कारबाही गर्न आग्रह गर्दछौं। यसो गर्नाले, नेपालले आफूले गर्वका साथ अङ्गीकार गर्ने मूल्यमान्यताहरूलाई साँच्चै मूर्त रूप दिन सक्छ र आफ्ना नागरिक तथा बालबालिकाका लागि शान्तिपूर्ण भविष्य सुनिश्चित गर्न सक्छ।

​करुणामयी र शान्तिपूर्ण नेपालका लागि वकालत गर्न यो याचिकामा हस्ताक्षर गरी हामीसँग जोडिनुहोस्। तपाईंको आवाज महत्त्वपूर्ण छ र यसले फरक पार्न सक्छ।

Open animal sacrifice and public slaughter occurring across Nepal have become a matter of grave concern for many citizens and organizations alike. These practices starkly contradict the fundamental values of peace and compassion that Nepal stands for.

The impact of such acts extends beyond mere cultural practices, deeply affecting peace and public health. Numerous studies have shown that violence in public spaces can normalize aggressive comportment, especially within young, impressionable minds. These exposures may lead to increased acceptance of violence, fostering an environment where aggression becomes routine. Furthermore, the practice of animal slaughter in open, public areas poses significant public health risks. It disregards sanitation norms, potentially leading to the spread of diseases among the population.

From a tourism perspective, continuing these practices could severely damage Nepal's effort to brand itself as the 'Land of Peace and Compassion.' International visitors who journey to Nepal in search of tranquility and spiritual enlightenment may be deterred by witnessing such distressing events, causing irreparable harm to the tourism industry which is vital to the economy.

We believe that Nepal can uphold its traditions while evolving its practices to align with global values of peace and health. It is possible to preserve cultural heritage without resorting to public harm. We propose the government consider alternative practices that respect animal rights, align with principles of non-violence, and maintain public health standards.

We urge the Office of the Right Honourable Prime Minister of Nepal, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation to take immediate action to cease open animal sacrifices and public slaughter. By doing so, Nepal can truly embody the values it proudly upholds and ensure a peaceful future for its citizens and children.
