भारत देवभूमि है, विश्वगुरु बनने का सामर्थ्य रखता है, लेकिन आज नशे रूपी रावण ने लाखों परिवारों की खुशियाँ छीन ली हैं। शराब, तंबाकू, गुटखा और अन्य नशीले पदार्थों के कारण असमय मौतें, बिखरते परिवार, उजड़ते घर और बर्बाद होते युवाओं का भविष्य हमारे राष्ट्र की पीड़ादायक सच्चाई है।
कितनी बड़ी विडंबना है! एक ओर सरकार नशे के व्यापार को लाइसेंस देती है, दूसरी ओर उसी नशे से मुक्ति दिलाने के लिए करोड़ों रुपये खर्च करती है!
प्रधानमंत्री जी, क्या नागरिकों के जीवन से बढ़कर कोई राजस्व हो सकता है?

संपूर्ण भारत में सभी हानिकारक नशीले पदार्थों के उत्पादन, आयात, भंडारण, वितरण, विज्ञापन और बिक्री पर पूर्ण प्रतिबंध के लिए केंद्र एवं राज्यों के समन्वय से समयबद्ध राष्ट्रीय कानून और कार्ययोजना बनाई जाए। आवश्यक चिकित्सकीय एवं वैज्ञानिक उपयोग सुरक्षित रहें तथा नशे से पीड़ित व्यक्तियों को उपचार और पुनर्वास मिले।

India is a sacred land with the potential to become a Vishwa Guru — a guiding light for the world. Yet alcohol, tobacco and other addictive substances are destroying lives, shattering families and robbing countless young people of their future.
What a painful contradiction! On one hand, governments license the sale of intoxicants; on the other, they spend enormous public resources fighting addiction and rehabilitating its victims.
Hon'ble Prime Minister, can any government revenue be more precious than human life?
You have taken several bold and historic decisions for our nation. We now appeal to you to make one more landmark decision.
Launch a time-bound national mission, in cooperation with all States, to completely prohibit the production, import, storage, distribution, promotion and sale of harmful intoxicants throughout India, with safeguards for essential medical and scientific uses and compassionate treatment and rehabilitation for those affected by addiction.
One historic decision can save millions of families, protect future generations and leave an everlasting legacy in India's history.
A truly Drug-Free India can become a healthier, happier, stronger nation — and a true Vishwa Guru.
