The Issue

We, the undersigned, formally request international organizations, governments, and policy forums to reconsider the invitation of Ms. Masih (Masoomeh) Alinejad as a "representative" or "voice" of the Iranian people.

Our concerns are based on the following:

1. Lobbying and Propaganda for Specific Factions: We contend that Ms. Alinejad’s activities serve as a propaganda tool for specific elements within the Islamic Republic. She actively lobbies for the "Reformist" circles, an agenda that stands in direct opposition to the Iranian people's pursuit of fundamental and structural change.

2. Lack of Representative Legitimacy: There has been no democratic process, mandate, or transparent mechanism granting her the right to speak on behalf of the Iranian people. Her positions do not reflect the broad and diverse spectrum of the Iranian civil society or the true aspirations of the freedom movement.

3. Monopolization of Narrative: Her exclusive and constant presence in high-level diplomatic meetings silences the voices of independent experts, grassroots activists, and diverse political groups that are truly rooted in the Iranian struggle.

We firmly believe that any dialogue regarding the future of Iran must involve true representatives who hold the maximum support of the Iranian community.
