Newark Counts — Young Person's Pledge encourages each household in New Jersey, especially Newark, to complete the 2020 Census: either online, via the telephone, or by completing and mailing the form.

As an extra push, residents of the Greater Newark Area can participate in the Newark Shapers Census Giveaway for a chance to win $100 to a local restaurant, among other prizes, and merchandise.

The 2020 Census will determine the resources and representation in your community for the next ten years. MassCounts is committed to ensuring a full and accurate count.

So many resources in our community are impacted by the census. Public education and childcare, roads and public transportation, food security, affordable housing, and healthcare in your community receive funding based on census numbers. Political representation is based on the census, too.
