Asking NSW to pay for NSW-specific childcare regulations that cost more than other states

The issue

Particular NSW-regulations have pushed operational costs to be much higher for NSW-based early childhood education and care services and their parents compared to those in all other Australian states.

One example that has been confirmed by the NSW Productivity Commissioner's Green Paper (19 August 2020) is where the NSW Government requirement for the number of degree-qualified early childhood teachers is 167%-333% more than what any other Australian states'.

NSW-based services and parents are therefore financially disadvantaged without any demonstrable benefit that can be measured against the National Quality Framework (that effectively is not nationally consistent) for early childhood education and care services.
