Realization of a movie or TV show about Novak Djokovic, with POC in a leading role

The Issue

We all know about the recent tribulations of Novak Djokovic in Australia. Whichever side you picked, it is undeniable that his entire life story is a true rollercoaster - from his first training in an empty swimming pool and the bombing of 1999, to the status of de facto GOAT of tennis and somewhat of a mental downfall during the pandemic.

Like all of us, he is, too, a flawed person. We were finally introduced to that side of his nuanced, dramatic character. It is, therefore, imperative to immortalize the tale of Novak Djokovic via the entertainment industry, either with a movie (trilogy) or a multi-season TV show.

Also, it is very important to mention that Novak, a Serb, belongs to a nation with more than a positive standpoint on racial freedoms and representation - the first Constitution of Serbia (1835) condemned any form of slavery and guaranteed freedom and citizenship for any enslaved man or woman that steps onto Serbian soil. Furthermore, the former Yugoslavia aspired to gather and maintain the "Non-Aligned Movement", heavily focused on friendship and economic empowerment between all races and nations of the Third World. Thousands of African, Middle-Eastern and Asian students were welcomed in Belgrade, creating an atmosphere of a true metropolis bustling with cultural exchange and understanding.

This digression is very important - it shows that Serbia is more than willing to accept the development where its favorite son is being portrayed by a POC. There is an unofficial consensus that Anthony Mackie would be a perfect fit for the role, with Riz Ahmed and Andrew Koji being close second/third choices. Wonderful Latino actors like Wilmer Valderrama are also to be taken into consideration, of course.

The author will be exhilarated to see names from all over the globe in this petition, and with enough voices raised about this important topic, we just might pique the interest of networks or streaming services.
