I'll be able to have my chosen name on my diploma, and all the kids graduating with me and after me will be able to have theirs!

More than 26,000 people signed Damien's petition, and as momentum grew, local media took notice; the Windsor Star, CBC, and CTV News all covered the story.

Damien presented the petition to the board, and after hearing him speak, trustees committed to new trans-inclusive policies. These rules now apply to all 45 schools in the district, helping students feel safer and better supported.
