Stop the demolition of Gilbeys Yard & Juniper Crescent in Camden

Stop the demolition of Gilbeys Yard & Juniper Crescent in Camden
The Issue
In June and July 2020 tenants and residents in Gilbeys Yard and Juniper Crescent NW1 voted against demolition and redevelopment of our 23 year old estates in a ballot by One Housing.
Now, Richard Hill, the CEO of One Housing is preparing to start the process again in defiance of the ballot, as One Housing is not prepared to accept the result.
This makes a mockery of the ballot process and subverts Sadiq Khan’s democratic guidance process for Ballots on Estate regenerations.
Please sign our petition calling on One Housing to #RespecttheBallot, stop bullying the residents who have already voted against demolition and proceed with a programme of refurbishment and retrofitting to ensure that we keep our community together.
In addition, the environmental impact of demolition as opposed to refurbishment is catastrophic and we must play our part in securing the future of the planet.
We are calling on our local MP, Sir Keir Starmer, the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, the Leader of Camden Council Georgia Gould and our local councillors – Cllr Pat Callaghan, Cllr Lazzaro Pietragnoli and Cllr Richard Cotton - to fight our corner and guarantee that One Housing #RespecttheBallot. T
They must support us in our campaign to save our homes and community and tell One Housing to stop trying to rig the outcome #RespecttheBallot
Hands Off Our Yard call upon Richard Hill the CEO of One Housing to fulfil his duties as a social housing landlord and respect the resident ballot which took place between 22nd June and 27th July 2020 with a clear majority of residents against demolition.
