Amazon Should Reform Related Account Suspensions for Third-Party Sellers

Amazon Should Reform Related Account Suspensions for Third-Party Sellers
The Issue
Thousands of third-party seller accounts are shut down by a mistaken algorithm every year that incorrectly claims you are related to a suspended account when this is not actually the case. #fixFalseRelatedAccounts
Amazon rules do not allow a suspended seller to open or run additional accounts as this would cause inventory shifts (of the bad actor) to a new account and cause even more damage to the platform. All sellers support this.
However, Amazon makes these determinations of who is related to who behind closed doors and without an opportunity for the seller to respond to the evidence. For example, if 2 sellers use the same 3PL warehouse and the same returns address, that can cause this to happen. You cannot explain the mistake so this is an unfixable issue the way the system works today.
The result is almost barbaric & catastrophic to legitimate businesses: At any moment any seller is at risk of losing their entire business because the heavy-handled algorithm "thinks" you are related to a suspended account when in fact you are not. No business should be shut down in this manner without at least a chance to respond to the evidence. #fixFalseRelatedAccounts
Here is an article with more details of the drama and possible solutions.
Please sign and share this so that Amazon will stop this unfair process. If you are in this situation, you can also join this Telegram group of sellers dealing with this currently.
We understand and appreciate that Amazon has strict rules to protect the integrity of the MarketPlace which we fully endorse and respect. However very often, these rules meant to protect the platform actually harm the legitimate sellers, Amazon & Buyers based on mistaken algorithms.
