The Issue

The Red House has been trading since 1856 in Leamington Spa. The developer has currently closed the pub and submitted a planning application to the local authority for change of use to Residential flats. The Red House has always had a great reputation for its Real Ale, Atmosphere and has a  Huge walled Beer Garden which are hard to come by these days. The pub has held the cask marque for serving great quality ale until 2012 and has also appeared in the good pub guide on numerous occasions. Please can I ask for support to save another of Britains little Gems for the Locals of Leamington Spa and Generations to come!

I have used the Red House pub on many occasions and it is a crying shame that it has been run down and then closed its doors. I personally strongly believe this pub could be a very viable pub again if it was run as a free house and free of tie. It has always had a good community spirit and on those long thirst quenching summer evenings, one would love to pop in for a pint or two and relax in the lovely large walled garden. In fact even the local branch of CAMRA had a bar'becue in the walled garden about 5 years ago. I personally strongly object to the change of use into flats and residental use only.
