Musical immersion is a big factor to a successful game, and especially a franchise such as Lord of the Rings. A world typically set to epic emotional music as proven in the film trilogy and the earlier LOTRO game and expansions, as composed by Chance Thomas. The musical factor is a key tie to continuation and nostalgia for a franchise as long lasting as LOTRO. However, since the Helm's Deep expansion, Chance Thomas has not been asked to return to compose further music to his already acclaimed and loved LOTRO musical portfolio. To many, this symbolises the loss of a major link and love to the LOTRO franchise. The music produced in-house by Turbine has failed to hit the high standards set by Chance Thomas and have lessened the immersion and experience of recent major in-game events, such as the Battle of Helm's Deep and the entry into Gondor. With further major events surely in the pipeline in terms of in-game releases, such as Minas Tirith and Central Gondor, this petition asks that Turbine acknowledge the impact Chance Thomas has had on the LOTRO franchise and asks him back to fulfill his middle-earth musical brillance until the franchise ends.
