Clapham common is used by thousands of people every day. It includes a paddling pool used by hundreds of children during hot weather.

There is no provision for public toilets in the area of the common by Clapham Commong Tube station. The old public toilets there were closed at least 5 years ago and were not replaced by Lambeth council.

There is a big problem of public urination on the common and the surrounding back streets, which is unpleasant for the public.
