Kim Kardashian’s recent posts of herself riding and kissing a dolphin illustrate that she does not understand the cruel nature of the captivity industry. 

Dolphins are one of the most intelligent species on this planet and swim up to 100 miles a day in the wild! Dolphin tanks only provide a fraction of a percent of the room these mammals truly need.  Because they are forced to perform for our own amusement and live in such small tanks, dolphins are often driven to depression and suicide.  These captivity programs are a direct result of the dolphin drives in Taiji where a pod is rounded up, the most beautiful individuals are selected for aquariums, and the rest are brutally slaughtered, as shown in the Academy Award winning film, ‘The Cove.’  

Kim has said before “I love animals and would never do anything to harm any animals,” so please join me in urging Kim to watch ‘The Cove’ and realize that participating in these captive dolphin programs is morally wrong. Urge her to join Jennifer Aniston, Ben Stiller, Courtney Cox, Robin Williams and more in taking a stand against dolphin captivity.
