In 2009 Scottish Justice Secretary Kenny MacAskill ordered the release from prison of Abdulbaset al Megrahi, the Libyan Lockerbie bomber, on compassionate grounds.

Al-Megrahi had been convicted of the killing of 270 people.

Cheshire-man Robert Green has never committed a crime nor killed a soul and yet he has been imprisoned on remand in HMP Perth, Scotland since 13 February 2014 for causing disturbance to a group of people in Aberdeen who are friends & relatives of serial child-rapist, thief and murderer Denis Charles Mackie. Mackie was accused of these crimes in 2000 but allowed to go free after 1 ¼ hour’s questioning and is still at large.

Robert Green is 68 and in deteriorating health due to heart trouble. We demand he be released forthwith on compassionate grounds.
