Scotia Square is not renewing their lease. They close March 31st. (Neighbour Taste of India is also meeting the same fate) Rumour is, a Subway will open in their place.

It's a shame that a family owned and grown business is being forced out, given the fact that there is plenty of empty space in the mall as it is. (And a previous Quizno's Sub shop went out of business just up the hall)

Even from a business standpoint, it makes no sense. Why close such a popular, health-conscious eatery in a mall full of health-conscious office workers? This place is lined up on a regular basis.

Certainly it's their mall and they can do whatever they like. Just seems like forcing out a successful small business is in terribly bad taste.

Ray's is a famous local business that is being forced out to make way for rumored Subway. There are LOTS of empty spaces available in the food court...why force someone who's been there for 31 years, who's NEVER been late paying the rent and who's been in the COAST for being the BEST OF THE BEST?????
