Repeal Bill 115

    1. Petition by

The Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario

Bill 115 undermines the guarantees made to all Canadians under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. It strips education professionals of their right to collectively bargain and places the government above the reach of the Ontario Human Rights Code, the Ontario Labour Relations Act, and the courts. It sets a dangerous precedent.

I work for the government and I am very angry with the Liberals for using their bullying tactics to get their own way. They just did this to make themselves look good to the public. Everyone is fighting bullying in

the schools, on the internet, etc. How can you teach our youth to stop bullying and the effects it has on someone when our own government bullys, they are not setting a fine example and I will not be voting for them in the futre, ever.

      To:

      Ontario MPPs, Premier Kathleen Wynne:

      Repeal Bill 115

I am a concerned Ontario citizen. Your government has undermined the rights of all Ontarians by passing Bill 115. The bill strips education professionals of their right to collectively bargain and places the government above the reach of the Ontario Human Rights Code, the Ontario Labour Relations Act, and the courts.

Bill 115 undermines the guarantees made to all Canadians under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. It sets a dangerous precedent.

I oppose Bill 115 and any other legislation that denies people their fundamental rights.

I will hold your party to account in the next election.

      Sincerely,

      Brian C. Waugh

It should be the right of all Ontarians to negotiate with their employer. Teachers are not getting the respect they deserve. Who is next? (nurses, police officers)!

My daughter is a teacher, she loves the children and loves to teach, and earns every cent she makes and then some - any losses financially are a struggle - Gov't should not dictate!

Lets freeze the politicians wage and decrease their benefits. Then we'll ask them "how many hours have you volunteered this week for your community?" Now let's ask the teachers how many hours of "their free time" have they donated to the kids.
