Wyoming State Senate

The Wyoming State Senate is the upper chamber of the Wyoming State Legislature, the state's legislative branch. Established upon the state's admission to the union in 1890, it currently consists of 30 Senators who each represent a single-member district across the state. Senators serve four-year terms with half of the seats up for election every two years. The State Senate is responsible for passing laws, appropriating budget funds, and confirming the governor's appointments, among other legislative tasks. It holds significant influence over the policy-making process in Wyoming.
