Vivian A. Jones has been the Mayor of Wake Forest, North Carolina, since 2001, making her the town's longest-serving mayor. Before her mayoral tenure, she served on the Wake Forest Board of Commissioners from 1999 to 2001. Jones co-owned Jovi’s Kitchen & Market from 1991 to 2003 and worked at Variety Wholesalers, Inc. from 1981 to 1992. She attended the Woman’s College of UNC (now UNC-Greensboro) from 1961 to 1962. Her leadership is marked by a commitment to community development, transportation improvements, and cultural enrichment. Notably, she was instrumental in establishing local bus services in 2008 and acquiring the Renaissance Centre to enhance cultural arts programs.
