Valerie Anne Hoyle is an American politician and a member of the Democratic Party, currently serving as the U.S. representative for Oregon's 4th congressional district, a position she has held since 2023. Prior to her election to Congress, Hoyle served as the commissioner of Oregon's Bureau of Labor and Industries from 2019 to 2023. She was also a member of the Oregon House of Representatives from 2009 to 2017, representing Lane County. Hoyle holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Emmanuel College. Her career includes roles as a Labor Commissioner for the State of Oregon and a Law and Policy Fellow at the Wayne Morse Center for Law and Politics at the University of Oregon. Additionally, Hoyle has experience as a small business owner.
