Thomas Poynton is the current Village President (Mayor) of Lake Zurich, Illinois. He moved to Lake Zurich in 1984 and has been actively involved in the community. Poynton is a Vietnam era veteran of the U.S. Army and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
