Susan Wild is an accomplished American politician and attorney affiliated with the Democratic Party. Born in Pennsylvania, she has made significant contributions as a member of the United States House of Representatives, representing Pennsylvania's 7th congressional district, which encompasses the Lehigh Valley, from 2019 to 2024. Wild made history as the first woman to represent this region in Congress. Before her time in the 7th district, she briefly served in Pennsylvania's 15th congressional district after Charlie Dent's resignation in 2018. Wild holds a Bachelor's degree from American University and a Juris Doctor from George Washington University. Her legal career includes partnerships at Gross McGinley, LLP, and Post & Schell, PC. She has also served as the Allentown City Solicitor and as a board member for the Second Harvest Food Bank. In Congress, Wild co-chaired the New Democrat Coalition Climate Change Task Force and was vice chair of both the Congressional Labor and Working Families Caucus and the Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, Global Human Rights and International Organizations. Despite her efforts, she lost her re-election bid in 2024 to Republican Ryan Mackenzie.
