Susan Bysiewicz is an American politician and attorney serving as the 109th Lieutenant Governor of Connecticut since 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, she has had a distinguished career in public service. Bysiewicz previously held the position of Secretary of the State of Connecticut from 1999 to 2011 and served as a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives from 1993 to 1999. Her educational background includes a Bachelor's degree from Yale University and a Juris Doctor from Duke University, following her graduation from Middletown High School. In addition to her political roles, she has experience as a business lawyer, showcasing her diverse expertise in both law and governance.
