Steve Bullock is an American politician, lawyer, and former educator who served as the 24th Governor of Montana from 2013 to 2021. As a member of the Democratic Party, he also served as the state's Attorney General from 2009 to 2013. Noted for his focus on health care, education, and public land conservation during his time in office, his leadership style often aimed to bridge partisan divides. After his governorship, Bullock made a bid for the Democratic nomination in the 2020 U.S. presidential elections before subsequently running for the U.S. Senate, although he was unsuccessful in both endeavors.
