Scott Wehrli is the current Mayor of Naperville, having been elected to the position in April 2023. He has over 32 years of experience in local law enforcement, serving as a part-time sworn officer with the Naperville Park District Police and rising to the rank of Lieutenant. His law enforcement career includes a significant focus on public safety initiatives. Wehrli was appointed at age 24 as the youngest liquor commissioner in Naperville's history, serving for nearly three decades. He played a key role in developing policies aimed at reducing liquor-related crime in the city.
