Scott Walker was an influential American politician who served as the 45th Governor of Wisconsin from 2011 to 2019. A member of the Republican Party, Walker is known for his conservative policies and his clashes with labor unions during his tenure as governor. Notably, his tenure included the passing of Act 10, a controversial piece of legislation that virtually eliminated collective bargaining for many public workers in Wisconsin. A two-time presidential candidate, Walker withdrew from the 2016 race but remained an important figure within the national GOP. His political career also encompassed roles as the Milwaukee County Executive and in the Wisconsin State Assembly.
