Sam Treadaway is a retired Cabarrus County educator who was elected to the Cabarrus County Board of Education in 2022. He is a Democrat who aimed to bring his experience in schools to the board and to bridge the gaps between parents and educators.Treadaway has over 40 years of experience in public schools as a teacher, coach, athletic director, and administrator. He is also the father of two Cabarrus County teachers. Currently, Treadaway serves as an advisory member and CCS Board of Education Liaison for the Cabarrus County Education Foundation (CCEF). In the 2022 election, Treadaway placed second, with 13.4% of the vote. He will serve a four-year term, which will end in December 2026.
