Russell Earl Holmes is an American politician serving as a Democratic member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives since January 2011. He represents the Sixth Suffolk District, encompassing Boston neighborhoods such as Dorchester, Hyde Park, Jamaica Plain, Mattapan, and Roslindale. In the legislature, Holmes has served as treasurer for the 187th General Court freshman class and was a member of the Judiciary Committee. He was selected to participate in the Emerging Leaders program at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and has served as the Chair of the Black and Latino Caucus of Massachusetts.
