Ravinder Singh Bhalla, commonly known as Ravi Bhalla, is an American civil rights lawyer and politician, currently serving as the 39th Mayor of Hoboken, New Jersey, a position he has held since 2018. Known for being New Jersey's first Sikh mayor, Bhalla has made history with his election. He began his political career on the Hoboken City Council, where he served from 2009 to 2018. A dedicated member of the Democratic Party, Bhalla was a candidate for New Jersey's 8th congressional district in the 2024 election. His commitment to public service and civil rights is reflected in both his legal career and his work as a public official.
