Pete Sessions is an American politician and business executive with an extensive career in public service and the private sector. Serving as a member of the Republican Party, he represents Texas's 17th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives. Sessions previously chaired the House Rules Committee from 2013 to 2019 and led the National Republican Congressional Committee. After losing his seat to Democrat Colin Allred in 2018, Sessions announced a comeback and was successfully elected to Congress in 2020. He has a Bachelor's degree from Southwestern University and has held executive roles at AT&T and Sessions Partners, LLC. His political career spans multiple terms in Congress, including as a representative for Texas's 32nd and 17th districts.
