Pete Dailey serves as the Mayor of Los Altos, California, with his term ending in November 2026. He was sworn in as a councilmember in December 2022 and subsequently elected as Vice Mayor. Before his election to the City Council, Dailey was a member of the Los Altos Parks and Recreation Commission and participated in an ad-hoc working group focused on developing a feasibility plan for a downtown theater. In 2014, he retired from a career in technology to dedicate more time to his family. Dailey has also been active in youth sports, coaching and serving on the boards of Mountain View Los Altos Girls Softball and Los Altos Mountain View PONY Baseball.
