Patricia A. Duffy is a Democratic member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, representing the 5th Hampden District, which includes Holyoke. Born in California, she moved to Massachusetts at the age of eight. Duffy began her career in public service with roles in union activism and community organizing. She worked as a Field Representative for the Service Employees International Union, Local 888, from 2002 to 2005, focusing on labor relations and negotiations. Duffy was elected to the Massachusetts House of Representatives in 2020, winning a three-way Democratic primary and facing no Republican challenger in the general election. She serves on several committees, including the House Committee on Global Warming and Climate Change, Joint Committee on Cannabis Policy, and Joint Committee on Health Care Financing.
