New Mexico State Senate

The New Mexico State Senate is the upper house of the New Mexico State Legislature, the governing body of the U.S. state of New Mexico. With 42 members, each elected to four-year terms from single-member districts across the state, the Senate is tasked with drafting and voting on legislation, confirming executive appointments, and cooperating with the New Mexico House of Representatives to create the state budget.
