Mitchell Robinson is an Associate Professor of Music Education at Michigan State University and a member of the Michigan State Board of Education. He was elected to the board in November 2022 and took office on January 1, 2023, with his term set to expire on January 1, 2031. Robinson holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the Eastman School of Music and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration from the State University of New York at Oswego. He has over 40 years of experience in education, serving as a classroom teacher, district supervisor, school administrator, and department chair in New York, Connecticut, and Michigan.
