Itamaraty

Ministério das Relações Exteriores, also known as Itamaraty, is the government department responsible for Brazil's foreign policy and international relations. Its primary objectives include the protection of Brazil's interests abroad, the strengthening of Brazil's bilateral and multilateral relationships, the promotion of its economic, cultural, and technological values, and the provision of consular services to Brazilian citizens overseas. Guided by principles of peace, respect for national sovereignty, and self-determination among nations, Itamaraty maintains diplomatic relations with countries and international organizations around the world.
