Mark Edward Green is an American politician, physician, and retired U.S. Army officer who has served as the U.S. Representative for Tennessee's 7th congressional district since 2019. A member of the Republican Party, Green has chaired the Committee on Homeland Security since 2023. Before his tenure in Congress, he was elected to the Tennessee Senate, representing the 22nd district from 2013 to 2018. Green's career also includes his service as a flight surgeon in the military, bringing a unique perspective to his political roles. Additionally, he has experience in local government as a Trustee on the Midland County: Jerome Township Board.
