Westminster City Council

Councillor Kristine Ireland began her service on city council on December 4, 2023. Ireland grew up in Omaha, Nebraska after graduating from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in Retail Management and Merchandising. Ireland moved to Westminster with her husband, Scott, in 1986. Prior to starting her family, Kristine worked in the retail sector and is a long-time piano teacher of youth in our community and co-owner of a small business with her husband. She is active in her church, having served in several capacities including congregation organist, teacher, women’s leader, communication and genealogy specialist, and financial self-reliance instructor. She is passionate about her community and serving others. She has served for several years on her neighborhood’s HOA board and as a key leader of the grassroots Water Warriors group that helped lower Westminster’s water rates. She is the mother of five children and grandmother of 11 – which is her most significant accomplishment and greatest joy.
