She has held multiple influential roles throughout her career, showcasing her commitment to her community and state. Smith currently serves as a State Senator for District 5 in the North Carolina General Assembly. Prior to this, she was a State Representative for District 8 in the North Carolina House of Representatives. Her leadership experience includes serving as Mayor and Councilmember for the City of Greenville. Additionally, she has worked as an Independent Consultant and shared her knowledge and skills as a Substitute Teacher at Pitt County Schools. Smith's diverse experiences reflect her dedication to public service and community development.
