Joshua Harold Stein is an accomplished American lawyer and politician who is the governor-elect of North Carolina. A dedicated member of the Democratic Party, Stein has served as the 51st Attorney General of North Carolina since 2017, where he has been instrumental in advocating for consumer protection and public safety. From 2009 to 2016, he represented the people of North Carolina in the State Senate. Stein's educational background is impressive, having earned a Bachelor's degree in History from Dartmouth College, followed by a Master's in Public Policy and a Juris Doctor from Harvard University. His career includes roles such as Of Counsel at Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP, Adjunct Faculty at Campbell University School of Law, and Senior Deputy Attorney General at the North Carolina Department of Justice.
