Jon M. Bramnick is an American lawyer, comedian, and politician affiliated with the Republican Party. Serving as a State Senator in New Jersey since 2022, he represents the 21st legislative district. Bramnick has a long tenure in New Jersey politics, beginning his service in the New Jersey General Assembly in 2003. He was appointed to fill a vacancy, later winning a full term and being re-elected multiple times until 2022. Notably, he was the Assembly Republican Leader from 2012 to 2022. In 2023, he was re-elected to the State Senate. In January 2024, Bramnick announced his candidacy for Governor of New Jersey in the 2025 election. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Syracuse University and a JD from Hofstra University School of Law. His professional career includes positions such as Partner at Bramnick, Rodriguez, Grabas, Arnold & Mangan, LLC, and Assistant Corporation Counsel in New York City. Bramnick has also served as a Councilmember in Plainfield, New Jersey.
