John Hoeven is an American politician and member of the Republican Party, currently serving as the senior U.S. Senator from North Dakota since 2011. He previously held the position of governor of North Dakota from 2000 to 2010. Hoeven earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College in 1979 and a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University in 1981.
