John Garamendi is a seasoned American politician with a distinguished career spanning various public service roles in California and at the national level. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA from Harvard University. Garamendi has served as a State Senator in California, where he contributed to legislative processes and governance. He has also held the office of Insurance Commissioner for the State of California, leading efforts to regulate the insurance industry. As Lieutenant Governor of California, he acted as an advocate for higher education, serving as a Regent for both the University of California and California State University systems. Currently, he is a Representative in the U.S. House of Representatives, where he continues to influence policy and represent his constituents.
